Daily Fantasy Football: Week 2

Whether you are a DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) fanatic or new to DFS, we are here to help. Each week, the Fantasy 4um provides a recommended lineup for H2H or 50/50 leagues based on FanDuel pricing; we also provide general tips and tricks throughout the season to hopefully help you in your quest for DFS tournament glory.

Quarterback Value Play
  • Carson Palmer ($7,800) has 14 QBs that are more expensive than him this week in FanDuel, despite putting up the 2nd most points in Week 1 (24.7 points), only behind Tom Brady. And Palmer is facing the lackluster Chicago defense in Week 2.

Running Backs
  • Mark Ingram ($8,000) and the New Orleans Saints are favored by a whopping 10.5 points vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I anticipate a big running game out of the Saints; hopefully Ingram will get the bulk of the touches.
  • Tevin Coleman ($6,500) didn't get in the endzone in Week 1, but had an otherwise decent week for his price. The rookie third-rounder was handed the rock 20 times and had twice as many carries as teammate Devonta Freeman. Overall, he looked good and I like his chances of getting in the endzone Week 2 against the Giants.
Wide Receivers
  • Donte Moncrief ($6,000) has a tough Week 2 matchup against the NYJ defense; however, for his price, Moncrief has a lot of upside with TY Hilton going down last week and Andre Johnson looking aged and sluggish.
  • Terrance Williams ($6,300) will greatly benefit from the Dez Bryant injury. With Bryant playing most of Week 1, Williams still had 5 receptions on 8 targets. The Cowboys are playing the Eagles in what Vegas expects to be the highest scoring game of the week (55.5 points).

High Upside Tight Ends

  • Austin Seferian-Jenkins ($4,500) will be a steal this week despite coming off of a big Week 1. Seferian-Jenkins is facing the New Orleans defense who gave up 4 receptions, 82 yards and a TD to the Cardinals blocking TE Darren Fells.
  • Greg Olsen ($6,000) on the other hand, will be coming off of a poor performance in Week 1. Olsen, similar to Seferian-Jenkins, has a great Week 2 matchup. The Panthers are taking on the Houston defense who was just dominated by Travis Kelce in Week 1 (6 receptions; 106 yards; 2 TDs).
Defense of the Week
  • Baltimore Defense ($5,000) will be worth the cost if you have a few hundred to spare as they will be playing either an injured Derek Carr (who loves to throw interceptions even when he's healthy) or Matt McGloin. Baltimore managed to keep Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos offense out of the endzone. Need I say more?
Underrated Kicker
  • My kicker from last week, Zach Hocker ($4,500) is still listed on FanDuel at the minimum price in Week 2 for some reason. He proved himself last week, hitting all four of his field goal attempts, as well as an extra point kick, in their loss to the Cardinals. Did I mention that the Saints will be at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
My Lineup (H2H or 50/50)
