NFL Fantasy Football Week 3 Start / Sit Advice

Start / Sit Week 3

Possible boons and busts for NFL Week 3.  Your starters and sitters are served.

Blake Bortles (vs Baltimore) Start
Blake is coming off a rough week.  We know this team can score.  The Jags struggled to pass the ball up until the 4th quarter where he threw two touchdowns. The Ravens have a pesky defense but nothing the Jags can’t handle.  There’s just to many weapons on that team to struggle for long.

Ryan Tannehill (vs Cleveland) Start
Tannehill threw for 387 yards last week in a tough game against the Patriots.  Arian Foster and Jay Ajayi are both dinged up.  Jarvis Landry should see a lot of targets as usual (check out the WR's below). Tannehill will make some mistake but this week look for more good than bad.

Andy Dalton (vs Denver) Sit
I think you should sit everyone who plays Denver. Dalton just isn't the same guy without Eifert in the game.  The Bengals haven't been able to get the ground game going this year yet and AJ Green can only do so much.  Sit Dalton this week.

Running Backs

Todd Gurley (vs Tampa Bay) Start
Finally you can start this guy.  If LA is going to win any games, Gurley will need to be the Rams' workhorse.   Gurley will finally get to cut loose and run the ball against an average, Tampa Bay defense.  Gurley owners can finally appreciate what their first round pick can do.

Theo Riddick (vs Green Bay) Start
Ameer Abdullah is out and Riddick is no longer in a timeshare.  If you're in a PPR league you're even more excited. He’ll run the ball and be the check down guy. Green Bay’s struggling defense might be without Clay Matthews.

LeSean McCoy (vs Arizona) Sit
This is a must win week for Rex Ryan.  To bad for him its against Arizona.  The Bills will be playing catch up after the first quarter. Its hard to rely on any running back when they're going to air it out, and you know Tyrod Taylor is going take off as well.

Wide Receivers

Jarvis Landry (vs Cleveland) Start
PPR MONSTER ALERT. Landry has been one of the top targeted WRs.  Cleveland is mediocre at best. Landry lines up in the slot as well so he’ll be out of the way of Joe Haden.  Last week he had 130+ yards against NE.  Look for him to do the same this week.

Dez Bryant (vs Chicago) Start
You probably drafted Dez in the 2nd or 3rd round and he’s produced like a 10th round pick.  The Bears are still bad.  The defense is still banged up.  They can't get to the QB and that gives Dez time to get open. He’s in for a big day against the much smaller Chicago corners.

Mike Evans (vs LA) Sit
LA puts pressure on the QB, plain and simple.  Evans in a big downfield target.  He makes a living on the 20+ yard big plays.  Winston might not have enough time to get the ball out there to him downfield.

Tight Ends

Dennis Pitta (vs Jacksonville) Start
Pitta had 9 receptions for 102 yards last week.  He missed all of last year with and injury.  The year before that Pitta was one of Joe Flacco’s favorite targets.  Last week was just a glimpse of the play he was before his injury.  He has a favorable matchup against Jacksonville.  Flacco will continue to look his way.

Vance McDonald (vs Seattle) Sit
McDonald has been the benefactor of big plays by SF.  Seattle’s team hasn't play that well this year, but that defense is in mid season form.  They have the linebackers and safeties to keep up with this tall, athletic TE.
